Prime Minister Narendra Modi ventured out on an elephant safari and jeep ride in Kaziranga National Park and the Assam Tiger Reserve on Saturday morning. Their adventure began with an elephant safari in the Mihimukh domain of the Central Kohora Mountain Range within the park, followed by a jeep safari. in the same domain. The Prime Minister accompanied through the superintendent of the park, Sonali Ghosh, and other senior forestry officials. “This morning I’m in Kaziranga National Park in Assam. Nestled amidst lush greenery, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is blessed with varied flora and fauna, adding the majestic one-horned rhinoceros,” Prime Minister Modi posted on X.
He advised people to “experience the unheard-of beauty of its landscapes and the warmth of the people of Assam. “

Due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve in Assam, jeep safaris and elephant rides will be suspended at the diverse Kaziranga in Kohora from March 7 to 9.
A statement from Arun Vignesh, forestry officer at the East Assam Wildlife Division, said: “Jeep safaris and elephant rides in Kaziranga Range, Kohora, will not be available to ors. Jeep safaris will be suspended on the morning of March 7-8. and 8. 9, while elephant rides will be suspended on March 8 and 9. Later today, Prime Minister Modi is expected to unveil the 125-foot-tall ‘Statue of Valor’ in honour of the outstanding General Ahom Lachit Barphukan in Jorhat, the Prime Minister Meleng Meteli Pothar, located in Jorhat district, will inaugurate and lay the foundations for a multitude of central and state projects worth approximately Rs 18 billion. In addition, he is expected to deliver a public speech at the same venue.
From March 8 to 10, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh.
According to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office, on March 8, the Prime Minister will make a stopover in Assam. On March 9, at around 5:45 a. m. , it will stop in Kaziranga National Park. Later, at 10:00 a. m. : At 30 a. m. in Itanagar, he will participate in the program “Viksit Bharat Viksit North East”. At the event, he will inaugurate the Sela tunnel and launch the UNNATI project, estimated at around ₹10,000 crore. In addition, it will inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundations for progression projects totalling approximately Rs 55. 6 billion in Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh.
Then, at around 12:15 pm, the Prime Minister will arrive in Jorhat to unveil the impressive statue of the esteemed General Ahom Lachit Borphukan. He will also participate in a public programme in Jorhat and inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of several progression projects worth more than Rs 17. 5 billion in Assam.
