Ours has just been developed: McLaren and Tumi have unveiled their new collection of animated bags and suitcases via sports cars, just in time for the holidays.
Like McLaren’s supercars, the new Tumi x McLaren collection “pushes the barriers of lightness and performance,” according to Tumi. Specifically, the luggage collection uses a mix of premium semi-flexible fabrics that scratch and wear. Plus, when combined with the aerodynamic lines of the bags, those fabrics give a sleek, modern look reminiscent of McLaren’s road cars and F1 machines.

The most notable feature of the Tumi x McLaren collection is an exclusive flexible carbon fibre Tumi calls CX6, which can be found in duffel bags, bags, backpacks and other basic luggage accessories.
One of our favorite pieces of the new Tumi x McLaren collection is the Velocity backpack, which Tumi, as it should be, describes as “looks like you’re driving at 100 mph while you’re absolutely still. “HTLS fabric that maintains its shape and provides more coverage for your belongings than the popular nylon or polyester. You also get nifty features like magnetic zippers, a hidden pocket for the phone at the top, and a built-in USB charging port.
