A man has been accused of drunk driving after getting caught more than three times above the legal limit with a child in the front seat.
Police arrested the driving force on Beach Rd in Bondi, near Campbell Pde, around 9pm last night to communicate with the driving force on his “how to drive.”
When police approached the man, they saw an eight-year-old boy sitting in the front passenger seat.
The 34-year-old driver, from Vaucluse, underwent a blood alcohol check on the road and police allege that it yielded a positive result.
He was then taken to Waverley Police Station, where another blood-alcohol control was reported to result in a score of 0.163.
His license was suspended and police notified a boy threatened by the eight-year-old boy in the car.
The Vaucluse type was charged with high-level PCA (prescribed alcohol concentration) and issued a notice of assistance to the court.
He is scheduled to appear at Waverley Local Court on September 1.
