Porsche Retail Group opens first UK Porsche studio in Mayfair

Porsche Retail Group has officially opened the first Porsche Studio franchise sales in the UK in Mayfair, London.

AM announced last week that the Porsche AM100-owned retail organization in Britain will complete its move from its former showroom in Berkeley Square to the new Porsche Center location on Clarges Street, Piccadilly, on August 10.

Yesterday (10 August), the Porsche Centre Mayfair opened its doors with a first guided tour for customers, delivered an official opening video that will be broadcast online at 10am.

Last week he saw the opening of the new Porsche Stratstone centre in Pendragon in Stockport.

Speaking to AM when the organization announced 1,800 task cuts last month, Pendragon CEO Bill Berman said that, despite his organization’s recent cost-cutting measures, “if it could open another 10 Porsche centers from 20 Ferrari stores, it would.”

Porsche Retail Group’s new retail store in Mayfair marks a number of new features for Porsche in Britain. It is the first Porsche Studio, 795 square meters, and also has the first Porsche Design store located in a Porsche center.

A logo press release describes the new Porsche Store as “a futuristic showroom concept,” adding that “the new area goes beyond the classic showroom format by providing a wide variety of experiences.”

Features of the new facility include a coffee area in the basement, while an LED wall and interactive displays that delight the visitor and the configuration process.

Porsche Retail Group CEO Adam Flint, who was appointed to his current position in February, said: “We are very proud of the new Porsche Centre Mayfair as it represents a vital first for our market.

“Achieving such a complex project, especially in a year that has presented so many global challenges, is a testament to the determination and paintings of all involved.

“Greg Hardy-Smith (Center Director) and his team are incredibly excited to establish themselves and offer a new Porsche point of delight to our customers, many of whom were our first days at Berkeley Square.

“We are pleased to say that we will only move our entire existing team to the new site, however, they will join them through new positions created through our expanded company, such as the Porsche Design store.”

Porsche said: “This makes it the eleventh Porsche studio in the world and a vital pillar of the sports car manufacturer’s Future Retail strategy.”

“The immediate landscape of the Centre is home to the largest concentration of 5-star hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants and some of the world’s most prominent grocery shopping destinations.

“The new Centre is rightly the first in Britain to offer a Porsche Design store, in addition to the Knightsbridge independent store.”
