Police fined the owner of a Land Rover for parking on the curb and blocking a road.
The heavy SUV cleverly parked on the curb, but crucially blocked the entire path for pedestrians looking to pass.
Knutsford police revealed they had issued a lump sum fine to the owner because his movements forced pedestrians down a road at 60mph.
Officers highlighted the conceivable dangers to wheelchair users and parents or guardians pushing strollers with young children by violating the Driving Act.
Over the weekend, images of the vehicle were temporarily uploaded to the social network Facebook.

Alongside the image, Knutsford Police posted: “The vehicle in the photo has earned a consistent ticket for parking completely on the curb.
“As you can see, this forced pedestrians, wheelchairs and strollers to use the busy A556 motorway at 60mph. “
Although some citizens praised the officials for taking action against the owner, some denounced their actions.
One motorist said he had “never” noticed a person in a wheelchair using this segment of the road in more than 30 years.

They warned that the offices were probably going “too far” and said it was a “lack of common sense. “Another local resident added that no parent would push a stroller on such a busy street.
According to the Road Traffic Act, road users must avoid parking on pavements as much as possible.
Rule 244 states that motorists “MUST NOT park partially or fully on the London pavement and shall not park anywhere else, unless symptoms permit. “
However, Rule 242 of the Highway Traffic Act is a bit stricter, stating that road users “MUST NOT leave their vehicle or trailer in an unsafe position or in a position that causes a roadway obstruction. “

According to Compare the Market, Rule 242 can only be used against road users in certain circumstances.
They said: “Under this rule, the police can penalize you if they deem your parking lot to be unsafe or if you obstruct the road in any way. This is true even though you can legally park on the sidewalk.
“This would lead to you receiving a lump sum fine, which includes fines and penalties on your license. “
They noted that fines will vary between municipalities, although the payment will most likely be around £70, which will be a severe blow to cash-strapped road users.
