Pininfarina’s first hypercar in the world gets a luxury audio formula from Naim

As for cars, I’m not a big fan. As long as my car can reliably take me from A to B, I’m happy. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t appreciate automotive engineering, especially if the car in question has one of the most productive audio systems on the planet.

Automobili Pininfarina, Italy’s luxury brand of hypermobile cars, has announced an exciting new partnership with the british luxury high fidelity brand, Naim Audio. Salisbury-based has designed the ultimate audio formula for long-term homeowners of what is the toughest Italian sports car of all time. The ultimate audio formula designed for Battista Anniversario, the world’s first purely electric luxury hyperautomobile. Automobili Pininfarina has prepared a small fleet of Battista hyperautomobile prototypes in a position for the final stages of a rigorous testing program that will begin in August.

Each purely electric Battista hypercar will be made at home in Cambiano, near Turin, Italy. Cars will be delivered to consumers in early 2021 and Battista is limited to a race of 150 cars. Each will be supplied with a custom-built integrated audio formula designed and manufactured through Naim Audio.

Rene Wollmann, Director of Sports Cars at Pininfarina Automobili, said: “Our consumers are ahead of Battista’s unprecedented driving performance, and now we will offer an equally exciting 1300 watt sound delight for your enjoyment.

“We will also take advantage of the sound of Battista’s 4 electric motors, which will offer an exclusive and exciting soundtrack when this hypercar is rushed at speeds of up to 350 km/h. Electrification creates a completely new size and opportunity for sound adjustment in Battista. »

Automobili Pininfarina engineers and designers have perfectly incorporated the new Naim Audio speakers and related electronics into Battista’s sumptuous interior, editing the elegance of the car with a purity of use that combines with its charming external design.

The newly developed audio formula can supply 1,300 watts of amplification force to no less than 10 speakers arranged internally inside Automobili Pininfarina’s first purely electric car. The new audio formula features a dual-reel cell subwoofer placed between the driving force and passenger seats. The super tweeters were hidden in the seats and hidden in the impressive battista butterfly panels.

Naim Audio has had the experience of its sister company Focal to optimize all the speakers of the car so that they can work perfectly in its exclusive environment. Naim’s sound engineers configured amplification and the built-in Digital Signal Processing System (DSP) to produce integrated sound that matches Battista’s performance. The chord is optimized for driving force and passenger thanks to a symmetrical speaker design that creates a studio effect in an auditorium. Naim says that the realism and environment of the audio formula will give the impression that musicians are playing inside the car.

Charlie Henderson is the CEO of Naim Audio. He said: “I am extremely pleased that our first EV hypercar audio formula created especially for Battista through Automobili Pininfarina. In the age of electric vehicles, audio is more vital than ever.

“At cruising speeds, Battista’s nature will be serene and peaceful. In this scenario, sound quality will be essential. We see this as an opportunity to create a logo with a new sound as revolutionary as Battista himself. Using the most productive audiophile quality automotive speaker components, as well as our experience in DSP and audio tuning, Battista will deliver exceptional sound.

According to Automobili Pininfarina, Battista has a 1900 hp engine and a more sensible speed of 217 mph. It can range from 0 to 62 mph in less than two seconds. Battista can be yours for 2 million euros. Only five of the cars will have the Anniversary specification and will charge you 2.6 million euros. There is no information on the type of G-forces produced through this type of acceleration, but with a sound system, it will inevitably be exciting.
