Photographer Jack Stafford admits to being an ‘aggressor’ following Jaguar Jonze’s accusations #MeToo

Jonze says Stafford’s apology ‘not enough’ when dozens of women appear

A well-known melbourne music scene photographer admitted to being an “aggressor” and facing dozens of accusations posted online by #MeToo through Jaguar musician Jonze, but Jonze said his apology is “not enough.”

Jack Stafford, who operated under the Instagram username ‘Re._stacks’, posted a long apology on Medium’s blog on Monday, admitting to sending pictures of his penis to several women, making laswd comments to the models he worked with and pressing women through posing for nude or semi-naked photographs.

He also admitted to sharing photographs without his consent.

“Surely I was wrong. I’m an aggressor … I abused my power. And I’ve been a natural misogyny in over my professional career, but also in my non-public life,” Stafford said.

The apology came after Jonze posted a variety of accusations against Stafford on his Instagram, claiming he had heard of 59 at the time.

59 women affected by the same boy who worked on two other calls. 88 other horrible stories. It makes me really sick. That women so masculine have had to overlook this and be left alone. We deserve security, we deserve respect. This has to be stopped. For anyone who asked to call and embarrass me, I can’t. My hands are tied because of the defamation legislation in Australia that does not protect our patients and our voices. And as we notice our actions, we can regroup, denounce, and protect each other. We listen to you, we see you, we believe you. Transmit it so that we have the courage to speak, transmit it so others can sense why it doesn’t move on to micro-aggressions, advances, comments, and suggestions. ❤️❤️
