In 2016, when Peugeot announced plans to return to the North American market, he said it was looking to do so until 2026. In April 2019, the logo announced its goal of regressing earlier than expected, in 2023 instead of 2026. A few days ago, the corporate proved that this is still the case.
Peugeot considered it vital to do so due to rumors that they are returning to North America late due to the coronavirus pandemic. While COVID-19 has shaken the company’s wheels, it has not changed its preference and commitment to make this return.
THE North American CEO of PSA (Peugeot Company Anonymous), Larry Dominique, said Peugeot was now looking at how it was looking to sell cars in North America. The company says it will use franchised dealers while relying heavily on online sales. Larry Dominique stated that visitor satisfaction with the style of the concession was one of the reasons the company turned to the Internet. Customers need a “simpler and more efficient” purchasing process, he added.
Peugeot’s return to North America will come when the corporate is a component of the new corporate Stellantis, which will be born in early 2021 from the mergers of PSA and FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles). The company will be the fourth largest manufacturer in the world with annual deliveries of approximately 8.7 million vehicles. The thirteen brands will be maintained, which may influence how Peugeot makes the decision to offer its models to its customers.
Of course, this is still a long way off, however, we can now expect short-term or long-term announcements related to the business plan. After all, 2023 is only two years away and part of it.
