Personalized vehicle for deceased motorcyclists “one last trip”

It’s a way to honor a fellow deceased biker; A commemorative walk organized by the Circle of Family and Friends.

“Usually, when you go through an organizational walk like this, a lot of other people get impatient. Today, when they see the casket, they’re going to sense what we’re doing and they’re going to sense that we’re here for a smart cause,” James said. Fiddy.

Fiddy is one of many motorcyclists who took to the road Wednesday to honor the life of his friend Chris Wills.

To break with the classic hearse, his coffin was transported via a motorcycle.

“You celebrate the life they lived. I, if I could be on my motorcycle 24/7, I would,” said Brad Chalcraft, owner of One Last Ride Ltd.

Chalcraft bought the hearse a few years ago in Ontario. He saw it as an exclusive way to offer one last ride to cyclists. So far, he said the reactions on the road have been positive.

“Even while driving on the highway, other people take pictures and videos. When you see it, it’s simply a shocking look. It’s not something you see every day,” Chalcraft said.

It’s a final goodbye, but for Chris’s wife, Kristy McGregor, it’s so much more.

“I didn’t travel with him when he wasn’t around, so for me, this is my last trip with my love,” she said.

Chris is remembered in his circle of family and friends as caring, honest, and philanthropic.

He died in late April, in a twist of fate on a motorcycle at Highways 21 and 16, while on his way to the charity fundraiser.

“There’s a purpose to our outings and the purpose is to do smart things,” McGregor said.

“That’s what my husband would have wanted. “
