Passenger in fatal plane crash at Pembroke Park known as Nissan Giat

BROWARD (CBSMiami) – Authorities have learned that the passenger died in a plane crash in Broward County.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Joaquin Ricalde Maga’a, 56, was flying the aircraft that crashed into the construction of a garage in the 1700 block of South Park Road.

After several days of research, BSO now knows the passenger as 53-year-old Nissan Giat.

The surveillance video showed that the aircraft fell to the ground after construction of the garage around 9:30 a. m. Friday.

“I heard a hiss. When I looked up, I saw this plane, it was too low. I moved a little. As I passed, I heard the engine stop and then stopped twice,” said a witness who works nearby.

Another witness on the way to the paintings when he saw him crash.

“On the 95th, I see the aircraft heading vertically, so what happened at that time divided is in the NTSB,” the witness said.

The building, a garage, had a window on the fourth floor and an external wall.

According to Sergeant Don Prichard of the BSO, there was no one in the construction at the time.

The aircraft was a 1969 Aero Commander 500S owned by Conquest Air Cargo in Miami Lakes.

They issued one that said:

“Our fear is with pilots and their families. We will continue to work with the relevant government to download more information. . . “»

Meanwhile, the FAA and NTSB to investigate.
