Opel and Vauxhall are expanding their performance-oriented electrified diversity with the charging of the Grandland GSe alongside the recently unveiled Astra GSe. kW/300 hp), but brings a sportier chassis configuration for greater handling and minor visual changes to differentiate it from the rest of the diversity.
The Grandland GSe communicates its athletic nature with a 19-inch wheelset powered by the GSe Manta concept, a new diffuser and the GSe emblem on the rear door. The black bonnet is optional, matching the gloss black accents of the emblem, bumper intakes, underbody protective plate, mirror housings, roof, spoiler, rear apron and alloy wheels. As in the refreshed Grandland, the GSe sports body-colored plastic upholstery around the body, LED luminaires and the iconic Opel Visor grille. Inside we placed a pair of AGR-rated sports seats upholstered in Alcantara, adding more with heavier heads without sacrificing comfort.

The SUV also has a GSe-specific suspension setup and guide calibration. Russelheim engineers fine-tuned the McPherson front struts and multi-link rear axle with firmer springs and new Koni FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) surprise dampers. Opel claims that the sportier chassis improves responsiveness, predictability and stability under rough braking, cornering and top speeds on the upper track.
The Grandland GSe has the same plug-in hybrid powertrain with four-wheel drive as the Grandland Hybridfour. This includes a 1. 6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, eight-speed automatic transmission, battery and two electric motors that generate a combined output of 296 hp (220 kW/300 hp) and 520 Nm (384 lb-ft) of torque. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 6. 2 seconds and has a top speed of 235 km/h. (146 mph). We don’t know why Opel didn’t use the tougher PHEV powertrain of the four-× four-mechanically connected DS 7 E-Tense 360, but Stellantis needs to create a differentiation between premium brand sister models and customers under its umbrella.
Opel hasn’t announced pricing for the Grandland GSe, but presumably it will be the most beloved style in its SUV lineup. The company said the market launch of the GSe will be maintained soon.
