As the shift to electrification continues, some automakers are in the long run, while others are further afield for one last hurrah. These trends are obviously evident in this year’s series of finalists for Motor Authority’s Best Car to Buy of 2023.

The Hyundai Veloster N is dead and we’re mourning its loss after winning our most productive car to buy award in 2020, but we now have the Hyundai Kona N at $35,995.
