The BMW owner said he tried to prevent Tolbert from taking his car when “Andrew smiled at him and turned around and fled the area,” NJ.com reported, who filed an affidavit of probable cause filed by police.

As officials and the emergency staff were on their way to the crash site, Tolbert entered a rehab facility where a fitness worker was exposed, police said. Authorities said she tried to push the employee to a closed workplace before attempting to sexually assault her. At least two patients would come to the employee’s aid, forcing him to leave the premises, the government said.

Tolbert then allegedly attempted to enter a locked construction that completed patients who had been evicted from the rehabilitation center. It caused “significant damage” to the gates, police said.

The officer was transferred to the hospital with a rib injury and discharged, the newspaper reported.
