FOUNTAIN VALLEY, California, August 6, 2020 / PRNewswire / – Hyundai Motor America is strengthening its control team with the addition of Olabisi Boyle as vice president of product planning and mobility strategy. Boyle will be guilty of the strategic direction of Hyundai’s U.S. vehicle line, long- and short-term processing plans and oversight of market research, commercial research and pricing.
With an even greater emphasis on delivering the technologies consumers need and, in the long term, this role also includes leadership in Hyundai’s mobility strategy, adding commercial IT solutions, connected car generation, and long-term innovations. Boyle will begin on August 10 and report to Hyundai Motor North America President and CEO Jose Munoz.

Boyle joins Hyundai from Visa, where she was most recently the vice president of Connected Commerce, leading the Internet of Things, Tap-to-Phone, and Acceptance Cloud payment products. Prior to her Connected Commerce position, she was the vice president of IoT and Connected Car, where she was responsible for expanding Visa’s in-car payment technology.
Boyle has 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, adding leadership positions in engineering, product strategy and production at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Ford Motor Company. At Chrysler, she was director of engineering planning and technical cost reduction, and before that, she was chief engineer of Chrysler Town-Country and Dodge Grand Caravan Minivans.
Boyle has been identified for her professional achievements and recently decided on the 2020 list of the most influential women in the San Francisco Business Times Bay Area and won the 2018 Women in Payments Innovation Award. She is a member of the Los Angeles Motor Show Advisory Board (AutoMobility LA) and co-chair of the Chrysler African American Network. Boyle is also a board member of the Detroit Area Pre-University Engineering Program (DAPCEP).
Boyle holds a bachelor’s degree in commercial engineering from Columbia University, a bachelor’s degree in physics from Fordham University, and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Columbia University.
