Off-road team: Ford expects Bronco extras to stand out from Jeep

The Ford Broncos arrived Tuesday at an off-road fleet near Holly, Michigan.

Yakima racks, a fishing rod holder at the front of one, a winch to “save your less-supplied 4×4 friends” in another, an interior frame for motorcycles to carry two ATVs in another.

Need a bottle opener to open a bloodless one when you get to your camp? It’s right at the tailgate. How about a position to connect a camera or phone? It’s on the board.

There’s even an appearance of a Bronco edition of tubular doors, those twisted steel gears that let in the outdoors while you’re driving and that have been noticed at various Jeep events.

It was a possibility for the people of Ford to show the kinds of wild extras, not all available, that they hope will create a committed sequel for the new Bronco, as well as to hit Jeep, its main competitor, in one of the spaces where this logo excels: accessories.

Walking distance to some winding and off-road trails, Mark LaNeve, vice president of marketing, sales and service in the U.S. From Ford, he has extolled the excitement that the Bronco has generated in recent weeks (more than 165,000 $100 bookings), as well as many opportunities to customize those rides when the vehicle arrives from Bronco Sport 2021 later this year.

“Somehow, with the modification and customization we can do for our distributors or at the factory, each and every customer, if they wish, can have an exclusive and exclusive Bronco,” LaNeve said.

Ford said the Bronco can claim more than two hundred “factory guaranteed” accessories for two- and four-door models and more than a hundred for the Sport model.

It’s not as heavy as Jeep, which, Mopar, “includes more than 500 factory-tested and quality off-road parts and accessories,” according to an FCA spokesman, but shows Ford has a plan.

Stephanie Brinley, senior analyst at IHS Markit, said Jeep’s connection to accessories is one of the things that sets the logo apart from others.

“(Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) has Mopar and a much larger and deeper spare parts division, and a little strength there,” he said.

But Ford, in his arrangements to bring back the Bronco, was able to practice his competition.

“You can attend an occasion of the Jeep Wrangler to see what other people are doing with their vehicles,” he said, about the enthusiastic customization that is happening.

The “magic” for Ford is to take the perception of customizing an off-road vehicle and make it less difficult to handle and less intimidating for others who lately don’t use their vehicle to run on the trails. It can also help the company not only to pursue Wrangler’s sales, but also to retain consumers who can drive something absolutely different, such as a Ford Fusion, Brinley said.

The corporation claimed it had a vision of the rope in some beginners. Among the “adventure-inspired” Bronco concepts, a four-door edition of Outer Banks’ fishing guide, some other trail platforms and a Bronco Sport off-road adventure patrol.

The latest concept is designed to highlight a playground concept that will open next summer, and the first is planned in Austin, Texas, for the owners of the Bronco series of two and four doors Bronco Sport Badlands.

“At our 4 Bronco Off-Roadeo sites, we need homeowners and enthusiasts, even those who are novice off-road, to laugh as much as off-road professionals and we must provide them with wisdom and delight make their long-term Bronco adventures even bigger,” said Mark Grueber, marketing director of the Bronco logo.

The Adventure Patrol was a red concept vehicle that added the inner bike rack and other off-road extras, as well as a drone landing point on the hood to “record visitors’ adventures.”
