All lanes are now open on the A1 (M) after emergency repairs.
A northerly A1 (M) lane is closed from J60 A689 (Bradbury) to J61 A688 Tursdale Road (Bowburn) due to emergency repairs.
There are reports that the A693 is blocked on any of the instructions due to a collision on Stonyheap Lane.
Traffic is heavy in the area.
An appeal has been made through police to locate a guy who has been reported missing.
Durham police say they are involved in the welfare of Kieran Megran, who is newton Aycliffe.
The 31-year-old man hasn’t been in touch with his family circle for a week, and the police are asking anyone who may have noticed or heard of him to touch the officers.
A Durham police spokesman said: “Mr. Megran is from Newton Aycliffe, but is believed to have traveled outside the Durham County area.
“It is described as measuring about five feet and 11 inches with short brown hair and beard.
“If you have noticed or heard Mr. Megran, please contact Durham Police at 101. “
Staff at a place to eat in Eldon Square in Newcastle said they had trouble paying their expenses after receiving paid leave for more than two months.
George’s Great British Kitchen, the first place to eat that opened in the Grey’s Quarter shopping center intu, a 25 million pound catering progression, in 2017.

A number one school in Newcastle will close for two weeks after seven members and several pupils tested positive for Covid-19.
North Fawdon Primary stated that the number of personnel instances meant that it could not run the school with a staffing point and was finishing its doors until October 5.
A spokesman for the school’s multi-academies trust said that many academics who tested positive showed no symptoms, that they cannot identify those who may have the virus and prevent its spread.

Officers were taken on a high-speed chase while holding a driving force in Sunderland after the front seat passenger jumped the steering wheel and walked away from the scene.
Northumbria police arrested the occupants of a Skoda Fabia on Durham Road in Sunderland shortly before 1. 30am after it was discovered that the vehicle was uninsured.
But when the driving force shut down the engine and exited the vehicle for questioning by police, a male passenger jumped into the driving force seat and made a touch before leaving the scene.
The driving force led police on a 15-minute chase that reached speeds of 70 mph in a 30 mph residential domain before the vehicle left the road and rushed into a giant field.

Other bewildered people in the Northeast have flocked to a charity helpline for recommendations on what they can and do under the new Covid-19 blockade restrictions imposed last Friday.
Shona Alexander, CEO of Citizens Advice Newcastle, said: “We are very busy with questions about what is allowed or not.
“The most recent restrictions raise questions about what lockdown means, especially for groups in the family circle. Childcare remains a major problem, as are conversion conditions in schools. “

Police said a man was taken to hospital with non-serious injuries after the Sea Road accident in Sunderland this morning.
A spokesman for Northumbria police said: “Shortly before 8am we won a report of a collision involving a car and motorcycle on Sea Road, Sunderland.
“Officers and emergencies attended the site and the motorcyclist, a 41-year-old man, was taken to hospital with non-serious injuries and the cars were recovered.
“Since then it has reopened motorists. “
The direction of the Sunderland Sea has cleared and returned to normal.

Residents of the Northeast were praised for their adherence to new closure measures that caused city centres and major streets to “fall silently” over the weekend.
New strict regulations came into force friday in an effort to combat an increase in primary in Covid-19 cases in recent weeks, with citizens of seven council spaces banned from gathering other people outdoors from their homes or social bubbles in houses or gardens.
Restrictions also impose a 10 p. m. curfew on pubs, restaurants and other places, and restrict them only to table service.
Residents of Newcastle, Gateshead, Northumberland, South Tyneside, North Tyneside, Sunderland and County Durham have also been asked not to socialize with others outdoors in their own homes anywhere public.

A grandmother who systematically stole her husband’s uncle’s life savings when she was about to retire was saved from prison.
The plot Tracy Wilson visited the 69-year-old hospital worker and helped him leave his apartment blank and shared lunches and talks.
A court heard that Wilson, 49, helped the retiree set up online banking, then took the opportunity to borrow his 14,000 euros of savings when he was about to take advantage of it when he retired.
The Newcastle Crown Court heard that the crime opposing the victim, who lives in Houghton-le-Spring, took a position for three months in 2017.
Wilson, of Boystones Court, Albany, Washington, pleaded guilty to the robbery.

Parents of Walbottle Academy students were notified that a “member of the school community” examined Covid-19.
Close contacts of the inflamed were told to isolate themselves for a fortnight.
They won the news in a letter, signed through director Martin Wood, dated September 20.
The letter, posted on the academy’s website, states that close contacts have been suggested to isolate themselves until October 5, while any student known as a close contact “can continue to attend the academy as usual. “

Northeastern parents will use the circle of relatives as childcare after a U-turn through Matt Hancock.
The health secretary announced the replacement in the House of Commons on Monday, days after banning grandparents from seeing their grandchildren.
His resolution provoked a major reaction against Tyneside by politicians and family members, some of whom faced the choice between running or breaking the law.
However, parents will now let their loved ones help after Hancock agreed that it could prevent others from doing their job.
“I’ve heard considerations about the effect of local action on childcare arrangements,” he told the House of Commons.
“For many, casual childcare arrangements are a lifeguard without which they would not be able to do their job.
“Today I will announce a new exemption for the care of children under the age of 14 or vulnerable adults, where it is mandatory for care purposes.
“This covers formal and casual arrangements.
“This does not allow for play dates or parties, but it does mean that a constant appointment is allowed for childcare that is important to move to paintings. “
