Statement from the Spokesperson:
“Given the persistent disruptions to the global fitness and uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus, we decided that SBD World’s Strongest Man 2020 festival in November would have no enthusiasts on site. This resolution was taken after careful consideration, fitness and protection of our enthusiasts, competitors, partners, staff and local network remain our most sensible priority. We thank our enthusiasts for their continuity and are applying tactics to provide live behind-the-scenes access that can be enjoyed from home for the first time.
“As always, enthusiasts will be able to watch the entire festival when it’s broadcast on CBS in the U.S. And Channel Five in the UK.”
Earlier this year, the Arnold Sports Festival was forced to make last-minute changes to its exhibition and competitions due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. The Strongman Classic, considered by many to be a flagship occasion on the Strong Men circuit, took position without spectators on March 6 and 7.
