Enter the Forsberg Edition for the pleasantly rugged midsize Frontier pickup truck. Unveiled last week at the Chicago Auto Show, it’s a dealership-installed package that brings a dose of style, courtesy of Chris Forsberg and his namesake, competing in the 2023 NORRA 500 off-road race, which took place in Baja California over a weekend last October.
Equipped with the Frontier Crew Cab models, the Forsberg Edition is technically an accessory package, but at least it’s a set with a bit of meat on the bones. An off-road lift kit from the NISMO catalog is part of the deal, pairing well with a set of other suspension gubbins, adding forged upper arms and high-performance shocks. On every corner there are Yokohama Geolandar X-AT tires in length 265/70R17 on new Axis Beadlock wheels.

A cat-back NISMO exhaust, rock sliders and a luggage rack with built-in LED lighting add a sonic and visual touch to the component. While we’ve ridiculed the stickers at the top of this article, we’d mention the Forsberg Racing. decals and badges that are an integral component of this agreement. Buyers could conceivably ask their broker not to put those appendages in. The retail value of this entire apparatus is less than ten thousand dollars in the United States.
We reached out to Nissan Canada, who explained that while this express package won’t be available at dealerships in that country, consumers can purchase a large portion of the kit through the NISMO catalog. There will be a Frontier NISMO on display at the Canadian fair. This year’s Toronto International Auto Show is scheduled to bring nearly all of the devices indexed to the Forsberg package, adding the lift kit and suspension formula, as well as muddy terrain tires that are more gigantic (295/70R17) than the Forsberg’s.
