While the Internet has gone crazy for Bronco, there are also other compelling news you may need to know: Nissan is despite everything that cools off its old Frontier pickup truck!
Aren’t you excited? Well, you know; This is the first time the Japanese automaker has reviewed its medium-sized pickup truck since the launch of the existing D40 series in 2004.

Fortunately for us, Nissan’s recent spy photos and long-term product teaser give a little less in terms of a new look; however, what other benefits can we expect for 2021? Let’s take a closer look as an illustration.
Titan tenacity
Nissan has handled the barriers of this next-generation pickup truck with a muscular and shameless taste for the Titan. The ambitious front is aggressively imposed with its large grille, strong wings, chiselled hood and oblong headlights with two-hour sunlight lights.
The visual drama does diminish when viewing it from the side – which is not a bad thing, as it’s a truck after all. The cabin is predictably upright with a window line that cascades down like the Ford F-150’s, and the bed appears similar in size compared to its closest competitors. Flared rear haunches do give it a stable stance, and the rear features a power sliding back window, LED taillights and a shark-fin antenna.
A position to be
Sitting on the existing border, it is like a distortion in time at a time when the inner adornment is almost a late reflection. Fortunately, the new will offer degrees of refinement and area for top-notch occupants, with an emphasis on connectivity and convenience features.
If one of Nissan’s newest models that hit the market, the Rogue 2021, is something that happens, we can expect benefits like an optional virtual dashboard, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, a front screen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and ambient lighting.
Nissan’s ProPilot 2.0 drive force assistance suite will relieve on-site tension with navigation-based track maintenance assistance, speed restriction precaution detection, pedestrian detection AEB, rear cross-traffic alert, and smooth traffic assistance.
Under the skin
According to the sources, this will not be a general review as we know it, nor will it be based on the world’s medium-sized Navara truck, as some facets of the existing border will be postponed. Instead, it will be based on a revised edition of the old F-Alpha platform of the existing U.S. market model. And Canada.
Speaking to Autonews last year, AutoPacific analyst Ed Kim explained the reasoning behind Nissan’s decision to keep with the current setup: “Navara is a smaller truck than Frontier. It makes more sense for Nissan to re-engineer the existing Frontier platform than spend significant money and resources to up-size the Navara platform and develop a new North American truck from it.”
It’s also a matter of compliance. “The resolve to put a product on the market requires significant investment,” Billy Hayes, vice president of regional operations at Nissan North America, told news site. “It’s not so simple to bring a product from the market to the United States.”
Fortunately, Nissan is making great efforts for on-road refinement, off-road agility, surprise endurance and fuel economy through specific weight reduction.
Don’t expect too many surprises on the power train. Nissan brought its new 3.8-liter, 310-horsepower V6 as an upgrade to the existing truck in February, and will also be the new engine. With 93% new parts, it generates 281 lb-ft of torque and gives 49 hp of strength to the old 4.0-liter V6.
It relates to a 9-speed automatic transmission (non-manual, sorry), which exerts strength on the popular rear wheels of the pavement, or 4 with an electronically controlled motion box and selectable multiple terrain modes.
Nothing is yet known about electrification, however, it would be prudent for a variant to be prepared to combat Ford’s upcoming RANGER PHEV.
Rivals and reveal
The new Frontier will likely debut early next year as an offer of MY2022, and production in dual cabin and multi-cabin configurations is likely to continue at Nissan’s plant in Canton, Mississippi.
