NHTSA examining safe GM and SUV truck models, Cadillac noticed by the engine failure threat

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating a potential issue with certain models of General Motor trucks, Cadillac SUVs, and GMC trucks and SUVs with L87 V8 engines.

According to the NHTSA, 39 cases of the engine failure cut in GM cars are surveyed, the V8 engine that impacts 877,710 cars built between 2091 and 2024 is surveyed.

Vehicles that are components of the NHTSA survey come with the 2019-2024 Chevrole Silverado 1500, 2019-2024 GMC Sierra 1500, 2021-2024 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2021-2024 Chevrolet Suburban, 2021-2024 GMC Yukon and 2021-2024 Cadillac Ecccadaadaada

The Office of Investigative Deficiencies for NHTSA is opening an initial assessment of the scope and severity of the prospective factor and to fully evaluate the prospective safety-related factors.

The complainants report a bearing failure that may result in either engine seizure or breaching of the engine block by the connecting rod. They report that there was no detectability prior to the failure.

No injuries or injuries were reported in the studies.
