Lamborghini will use Art Basel Miami 2022 in December for the debut of a top-tier Huracán, a car that proved to be the automaker’s last powered solely by a combustion engine.
Starting with the successor to the Aventador slated for 2023, which will be a V-12 plug-in hybrid, each and every long-lasting Lamborghini will feature some form of electrification. The automaker expects its full diversity to consist of electrified cars only from 2024. .
This makes the next high-end Huracán a car for the brand, especially in the eyes of collectors.
Rumors of an off-road-focused Lamborghini supercar date back about a decade to the Gallardo-based Italdesign Parcour concept, but things got serious in 2019 when Lamborghini launched the Huracán Sterrato concept.

Lamborghini showed off plans for a production edition of the concept in July, and the reveal was shown for the Miami Art Expo to be held Dec. 1-4.
Don’t be surprised if the car ends up being called Huracán Sterrato, just like the concept. A trademark for the so-called Sterrato was only registered through Lamborghini last fall. This is the Italian word for “dirt”, indicating that this style is ideal for rally-style dirt tracks and other uneven surfaces.
Hanging images from July show a tall Huracán with the same wing wideners and upper beams as the concept. Power will come from the familiar 5. 2-liter V10, whose power will likely match the 631 hp of the Huracán Tecnica that debuted earlier this year.
More and more buyers are looking for supercars that can drive year-round as well as drive without worrying about potholes causing significant damage. That’s why Porsche is also preparing a top-notch 911, and we’re sure others will. It will soon fit its suit, especially as supercar sales continue to grow in emerging markets, where situations on the road aren’t the best.
