State police said a New York man was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary, obstruction and trespassing, after running a credit card scheme at a Home Depot store.
The suspect took position at the same Home Depot where the New York State Police arrested a 33-year-old man in January, after locating him unconscious in his vehicle, allegedly drunk on drugs.
The Law Offices of Scott J. Limmer says that although burglary in the third degree is the lowest tier of burglary charges, it is still a class D felony in the state of New York. If convicted, you can be sentenced to up to seven years in prison.
The New York State Police said in a news report that the Bureau of Criminal Investigation had won a complaint from Home Depot in Lockport for theft.

An investigation concluded that between October 2023 and January 2024, the 57-year-old suspect walked into a store and purchased parts with his Home Depot credit card and then left the store with the parts.
State police said the suspect would return empty-handed and remove the pieces from the shelves, then take them to the return counter to get a credit on his credit card. Authorities say the Lockport guy fraudulently retrieved parts 22 times totaling $1,940. 73.
State police said the suspect denied his identity and said the culprit was his brother until investigators arrested him.
The man was arrested, processed, and transported to county jail for centralized arraignment.
