DELTA, British Columbia – A new truck meeting facility has opened in Delta, British Columbia, with vehicle capacity.
This will address long-standing road protection issues in the Delta community, where container truck queues to port succeed on more than 15 trucks along the Roberts Bank highway, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority said.
The site is on provincial lands at the intersection of Highway 17, Highway 17A and Deltaport Track.

Trucks traveling to Deltaport in the past had to queue on the road when they arrived early to make reservations or when there was a lock at Deltaport Terminal at Vancouver Harbor.
“This new facility will provide traffic protection and flow, and will also provide a separate domain for the protection of advertising vehicles and law enforcement for inspections.” Said Peter Xotta, vice president of plan and operations development at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.
“Projects like this help strengthen network protection while ensuring that Canadian consumers can get the products they want and that local businesses have in foreign markets.
