Australians are now spoilt for choice when it comes to electric cars (EVs), with two new electric cars now hitting the market.
Automakers Mazda and Fiat recently introduced their new and hybrid models, the Mazda CX-60 and Fiat 500e.
These two new cars are distinct from each other, despite being electric, so let’s get into the specs.
What makes the Mazda CX-60 attractive is that it’s a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), and that’s a first for Mazda. It’s necessarily a combined electric and gasoline car, giving you the option of using a battery or gasoline. as a source of power while driving.
The Mazda CX-60 is a premium mid-size SUV, with costs ranging from $60,400 to $88,100. In EV mode, it can travel up to 76 km at speeds of up to one hundred km/h and is powered by a 355V motor, 17. 8 kWh on-board battery.

The arrival of those cars coincides with the expansion of electric vehicle features in Australia. More than 30 new or updated electric cars are expected to be launched in the next two years, according to online automotive website WhichCar.
With new models on the market and more to come, it looks like Australians will be asked to approve electrics.
