Aston Martin bid farewell to DBS with the limited edition 770 Ultimate last year, but enthusiasts will be pleased to know that its replacement will arrive in 2024. Our spy photographers have captured a camouflaged prototype of the new flagship grand tourer. , revealing component of the redesigned bodywork.
At the moment, it’s unclear whether the new styling will retain the DBS moniker or revert to the Vanquish moniker, as Aston Martin cancelled plans to use the latter in a mid-engined supercar.
The bodywork is completely redesigned. At the front, the grille is wider than before, bringing more air into the engine compartment along the ventilated hood. The almond-shaped headlights fixed on the fenders are a typical Aston Martin styling feature, as is the long relationship between the dashboard and the axle. The front fenders may feature the iconic gills that are now hidden under the camouflage shell.

The rear looks quintessentially Aston Martin, thanks to the built-in ducktail spoiler and new type of LED taillights. The full-width bureaucracy is probably there to lie to our eyes, as it doesn’t match the gaps between the panels around the groups. We can also see the quad exhaust pipes and diffuser, similar to the smaller Vantage.
The grand tourer is rumoured to retain the V12 powertrain, the maximum of which is likely to exceed the DBS 770 Ultimate’s 760 hp (566 kW / 770 hp). This would give it great credit over the 671 hp (500 kW / 671 hp) of the V8-powered DB12. 680 hp), as well as a unique suspension setup for sharper driving dynamics. In addition to the V12, there are also rumors of an electrified edition with a Mercedes PHEV powertrain that could be maintained in the future.
Aston Martin is keeping its cards closed for the release date of DBS’s successor. Autocar reports that it could take a position at Monterey Car Week in August, following several Aston Martin debuts at the same event.
