On August 23, 2024, the Chandrayaan-3 project effectively landed the Vikram Lander on the lunar surface. This historic feat made India the fourth country to land on the Moon and the first to land on the Moon’s South Pole. After the comfortable landing, the Pragyan Rover was effectively deployed to explore the lunar surface. The landing site was named “Shiv Shakti Point” (Shiv Shakti Station). To commemorate this feat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared August 23 as National Space Day in India.
