Designed for the ambitious and sexy, Nafsika Skourti’s new AW22 RTW collection radiates confidence and empowerment with a subtle balance between femininity and masculinity. The brand’s new seasonal collection, which features a diversity of striking silhouettes in intense colors (think brighter red contrasting with darker black), arrived at Harvey Nichols after it was released in www. nafsikaskourti. com on October 2.
Co-founder and designer Nafsika’s self-proclaimed “nocturnal” artistic procedure for AW22 began a while before she caught Covid. “in 1966,” says Nafsika, stating that he took credit for the isolation and immersed himself in the process of creating the new collection. “Truth be told, I skipped most of them because I was too impatient and every scene was beautiful. The art direction, colors and atmosphere were perfect!I am very sensitive to colors, because color has its own emotional language. One scene in particular had a bright red and that set the tone for me from there.
The unmistakable red tone worn profusely in the new collection perfectly reflects the brand’s identity: glamour combined with an attitude of carefree and rebellious power. “The atmosphere of this collection is a very scorpion power, it is fierce, reserved, passionate. Subtle but ambitious too. Echoing his own preference for sunset paintings, Nafsika adds that the collection is “a very nocturnal power, [like] a night walk around the city,” before elaborating, “There’s a big tension between the feminine and the feminine. “male elements in the cuts. It is undeniable but basic. it is very well juxtaposed with the upper boat neckline at the front. It has also been a wonderful vehicle for printing.
