“Courage, excellence and exemplary leadership on the Board of Directors are as important today as they always have been, and even more so when corporations face an unwavering succession of demanding situations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Peter R. Gleason, CEO of NACD. “This year’s winners have earned the popularity of those awards. Not only have they served their forums and the governance network well, but they have also provided inspiring examples of how effective, determined and guilty it actually means difficult and exceptional times.”
The B. Kenneth West Lifetime Achievement Award is awarded annually to a director who has demonstrated a remarkable achievement in his career on the Board, adding his determination to obtain best corporate governance practices, and for his fair leadership.
