Boring Co.
The $52 million circuit at the Boring Convention Center is expected to be completed in January, and tunnels are expected to accelerate conference center visitors on the 200-acre campus in less than two minutes in modified, self-contained Tesla electric vehicles.
Drilling marked the end of the excavation in May, breaking a concrete wall near the 1. 4 million-square-foot expansion of the center’s west corridor. This week, a video gave the impression on Twitter that seems to show the first cars entering the tunnel system.
Now Boring proposes to expand the intermediate conference service to casinos along the Strip, as well as mcCarran International Airport, Allegiant Stadium, downtown Las Vegas “and in all likelihood Los Angeles”.
“The Vegas Loop will change the rules of the game for our visitors looking to temporarily access world-class attractions and resorts at the destination in a fun and convenient way,” said Steve Hill, CEO of the Las Vegas Visitor and Convention Authority.
According to published reports, the allowance would cover about 15 miles and could only involve 50 passenger stations.
On its website, Boring Co. says you can send passengers from the Mandalay Bay Hotel at the southern end of the Strip north of the conference center in approximately 3 minutes, an adventure that can take 30 minutes by car at rush hour.
