Motorline opens Gillingham Skoda dealership and unveils Audi Canterbury plan

Motorline Group has moved to its new Skoda car dealership in Gillingham and plans for a new Audi showroom in Canterbury.

The progression comes less than two months after securing a £ 12 million building permit for a progression that will bring their Toyota Patchway and Lexus Pioneer Park dealers to Bristol to one on the Cribbs Causeway, where they will be joined via a academy of education.

This week, Motorline moved its Gillingham Skoda dealership from its former Hoath Land to a new facility on Grosvenor Road, Gillingham Business Park.

The new concession includes an 11-car showroom, an area for 65 used cars, a 10-bay workshop and 40 customer parking areas.

In statements to Kent Messenger newspaper, Motorline Group Chief Operating Officer Tim Murphy said, “By relocating the Skoda Center to this leading location with a much larger new facility, visitors will enjoy more sales and after-sales. “

Motorline plans to open a new Audi East Kent dealership in a move that will move you from its current location on Ashford Road, Chartham, to a new specially designed Audi terminal on Broad Oak Road, Canterbury in early October.

The group, which acquired the Inchcape franchise in June 2018, doubled its representation of Audi with the continued acquisition of Inchcape’s Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells businesses.

Commenting on the creation of a new dealership site to space out its Audi franchise in East Kent, Motorline said the new construction “would better showcase Audi’s exciting product line and more delight from our visitors and service levels. “

Audi’s new site in East Kent will feature a behind-the-wheel reception service and virtual check-in and allow consumers in a boutique-style environment, Motorline said.

He added: “To align the logo with our Audi centers in Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells, our move will also see a replacement in our commercial call from East Kent Audi to Canterbury Audi.

“This new call represents the last step in our adventure to offer Audi’s maximum pleasure to our customers. “

In June, AM announced that Motorline Group was in the process of opening a consultation with its workforce on 10% relief from worker pay in response to the demanding situations facing the COVID-19 crisis.

AM understands that Canterbury-based retail organization AM100 has reported the move, while car showrooms in England have reopened to customers.

“The consultation will begin shortly, however, the company approves the pay cuts without too much delay,” a source said.

AM tried to touch Motorline executives, but got no answer.
