Motorcycle Twist of Destiny in Dodge County; The rider hit the raccoon, the guy stayed

BURNETT TOWNSHIP, Wis. — The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a motorcycle twist of fate that occurred in Burnett Township on Friday morning, Oct. 28. Alcohol consumption, haste and reckless driving are known as spots in the wreckage.

Authorities say that shortly after 8 a. m. On Friday, the sheriff’s office received 911 calls about the crash and a seriously injured power force on County Road E, just east of County Road A, about two miles east of Beaver Dam.

The initial investigation showed that a 32-year-old man from Ripon was riding the motorcycle westbound on CTH E and was making a U-turn in a prohibited zone and on a curve. While the motorcycle was negotiating a curve to the right, the pass, was on the wrong side of the road, on the opposite shoulder and struck a raccoon as approaching traffic approached. The motorcycle went off the road and continued into an upper grassy domain where it collided with a guy left on an application pole.

Authorities say the operator dressed in a helmet and was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where a medical helicopter met them to be transported to a trauma center. The Ripon type is said to have life-threatening injuries.

The twist of fate is still under investigation through the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office. Beaver Dam firefighters and paramedics and Dodge County Emergency Management helped at the scene. Flight For Life transported the patient from the hospital.
