Motor vehicle assignment issued to the driving force that hit and killed a Fair Lawn pedestrian

A motor vehicle summons was filed with a guy from Fair Lawn after he hit and killed a pedestrian on a pedestrian crossing on Wednesday.

Johvanny Payero, 53, quoted for not giving in to a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing, the sergeant said. Brian Metzler.

Payero punched Yuri Berger, 63, with his 2012 Honda. Berger was trying to cross Fair Lawn Avenue at about 9:45 a.m. when he hit.

He threw himself into the eastbound lane and got caught under the front of a Mercedes. Police said the Mercedes stopped before the incident.
