After attracting attention to position their 5th and 7th KTM on the grid, Miguel Oliveira and Brad Binder would face a few moments of the race.
KTM teammates Brad Binder and Miguel Oliveira saw their hopes for the race plummeting dramatically in just a few seconds when they faced off on the first corner after stealing the headlines on Saturday with the best problems of their career in fifth and seventh place on the Andalusian MotoGP grid. Training
A typical incident of the first curve in progress as the platoon accumulates on the right, Binder admits to having distracted with Danilo Petrucci entering it, preventing him from responding in time not to mark the rear wheel on Oliveira’s Tech 3 KTM.
By sending the Portuguese rider down and down on his motorcycle, before receiving another false shot of Binder’s motorcycle when he got up, the South African continued in the back of the peloton. However, despite a speed that, at one point, almost on par with fugitive leader Fabio Quartararo, a top-tier team would stop their weekend impressively.
“Today it didn’t really happen as planned and the worst thing was that I wrecked Miguel’s career. Until then, I had had a wonderful weekend and I’m sure I would have had a forged career. I am sorry. They got me off to a smart start and I didn’t see internal Danilo and when I picked it up, it was too late.
“I couldn’t help Miguel. When I saw the accident, I was worried, so I’m glad it’s okay. After that, my career was already difficult. I did the most productive thing to keep my track in the field. #
“I kept running, pushing and coming in the last corner, folded the front and tried to lift it up, but he grabbed me and took over. Fortunately, I’m fine and we’ll revisit next time.”
Oliveira maintained a philosophical tone in the circumstances, opting to concentrate on the positive facets of emerging to the moment position on the grid in the first position.
“I was just an unfortunate guy in this position, but I couldn’t really do anything to avoid the accident. It was the first corner, everyone needed to win places, so it’s general that we were wrong about braking problems and we’re too optimistic. We have more races this year, so it’s not the goal of the world. We’ll take the positives of this week and move on to the next one.”
