Mitsubishi Electric, PGA TOUR Champions announce five-year partnership extension

Ka’upulehu-Kona — Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. and PGA TOUR Champions announced Thursday an extension of their five-year marriage, with the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai and the Mitsubishi Electric Classic in 2030. This extension also continues the role of Mitsubishi Electric as the official marketing partner of the PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions.

Mitsubishi Electric has been the title sponsor of the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai since 2009 and the title sponsor of the Mitsubishi Electric Classic since 2016. The 2025 PGA TOUR Champions season begins today with the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai. Defending champion and reigning Charles Schwab Cup winner Steven Alker will retain his name in front of a star-studded field.

Later this season, the PGA TOUR champions will return to Duluth, Ga. , for the Mitsubishi Electric Classic at TPC Sugarloaf. Stephen Ames has won the Mitsubishi Electric Classic in each of the past two seasons and is looking to sign Padraig Harrington (DICK’S Open) and Steve Stricker (Sanford International) as new Champions Tour players to effectively win an event for three consecutive seasons. This year’s Mitsubishi Electric Classic will be held the week of April 21-27.
