Missing Babinda man: Police seek public help to locate missing 89-year old man

Update at 6.37pm: The man reported missing from Bartle Frere has been found safe and well, police have reported.

In a statement, police thanked the community for their assistance.

Earlier: Police are seeking public help to locate an 89-year-old man with a medical condition reported missing from near Babinda.

Ronald Roberts was last seen at a residence on Biggs Road around 9.30am on August 1.

Police and family hold concerns for his safety and welfare, as Mr Roberts suffers from a medical condition and his behaviour is out of character.

Mr Roberts is described as caucasian in appearance, around 166cm tall, grey hair and hazel eyes.

He is believed to be driving a white Iveco camper van, with New South Wales registration BX97LT.

Police are urging anyone who knows his whereabouts or has sighted his camper van, to contact them.
