We’ve all had problems with our cars. . . Whether the gearbox failed, the battery died, or your side mirror was ripped off by a non-car driver while in a multi-story parking lot, that’s it. impractical and expensive to repair. But would you ever believe that your car manufacturer could have hidden data from you that could now be worth thousands of euros in compensation?

Millions of drivers across the UK may be entitled to a decent amount of cash thanks to a moot factor that rocked the car industry in 2015.
It found that a handful of automakers had installed illegal emissions-reducing software in diesel-powered vehicles.
Known as “dieselgate,” this clandestine tactic meant that those cars would show artificially reduced emissions in testing. Under laboratory conditions, so-called “neutralization devices” caused the engines to release a measure of nitrogen oxide, thus complying with automotive regulations.
However, when the same cars were tested on the roads, the International Council on Clean Transportation found that the cars emitted much higher levels of fuel than initially thought and, in fact, particularly exceeded emissions standards.
Because those cars produce more destructive gases than advertised, they were wrongly sold to drivers.
In fact, if you owned or rented a diesel BMW; JLR; Citroën; Peugeot; Opel; A Nissan or Renault vehicle manufactured between September 2009 and July 2016 could be one of the affected cars with a built-in neutralization device.
It doesn’t matter if you bought it outright, through financing, directly from a manufacturer, or from a third-party seller – you may still be entitled to compensation, even if you’ve since disposed of the vehicle.
Drivers can register on the online page and find out if they are entitled to a refund of up to £10,000. All they have to do is enter their car’s registration number and answer a few quick and simple questions. The online page will carry out a check of your vehicle and you will know if you are entitled to money. The most productive part? The claim works without any profit or cost, so there is literally nothing to lose and everything to gain.
It also states that drivers will be able to get reimbursed up to 75% of the original price of the car.
