Miles Teller instantly connected with Keleigh Sperry the moment he met her, though Miles would have you believe he had to work hard for Keleigh to reciprocate his infatuation. In actuality, Keleigh instantly felt the connection, too.

A week later, Miles and Keleigh went on their first date, a date so magical that Miles was depressed. Keleigh was the one. After four years of dating, the couple went halfway around the world where the Top Gun: Maverick star executed a proposal to perfection. She said yes and they married in a personal rite in Maui.

The relationship between Miles and Keleigh, from a budding romance to a marriage that oozes love, trust, and loyalty, is admired through their closeness and distance. ET takes a closer look at how they came about there.

Miles and Keleigh had mutual friends who played for the Black Keys when they attended the band’s GRAMMY after-party. The Footloose star reportedly told Vogue in 2019 what the evening went like.

“Keleigh had poked his eye on me early in the evening and we talked. I didn’t think it went well, but after a few more attempts, I made him dance with me,” she told the fashion magazine. “And a week later, we had an appointment. After we met, I knew.

Although Miles may have said that things didn’t go well at first, Keleigh remembers their meeting with wonderful fondness.

It was May 2015. Miles and Keleigh were on vacation enjoying the warm beaches of Miami when a pregnant woman looked distraught.

Keleigh recounted the incident on an Instagram that has since been deleted.

Miles and Keleigh were doing well after a car twist of fate in December 2016. So much so that Miles called the other driver involved in the event.

The car’s twist of fate happened at the corner of Whitsett and Moorpark in Studio City, California. An LAPD spokesperson showed ET at the time that Miles “was cut off” by another vehicle. The two passengers in the vehicle suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital.

Miles and Keleigh escaped unharmed, but the actor took to social media to denounce the driver’s “irrational and ignorant” driving.

“@keleighsperry and I are fine,” Teller wrote. The other driver entered oncoming traffic and [a] serious twist of fate is inevitable. This woman’s irrational and ignorant resolve has put our lives and the lives of her passengers in very genuine danger. I’m glad we can go. “

After four years of dating, Miles asked Keleigh to marry him and she said yes. In August 2017, the couple embarked on a trip halfway around the world to South Africa. Miles told Vogue that surprising Keleigh “is really hard” but he managed to pull off the big surprise.

Miles and Keleigh hosted an intimate wedding on September 1, 2019, in Maui. According to Vogue, the rite took place on a Sunday in a Catholic church on the island. They wrote their own vows and exchanged beautiful gold wedding rings designed through a friend.

Over on her Instagram Stories, Keleigh shared some snaps that included a view of the picturesque scene from inside a yacht, Miles going for a swim in the ocean and then the actor relaxing next to the pool.

Miles and Keleigh went on vacation with Shailene Woodley and her then-boyfriend, Aaron Rodgers, to Hawaii in May 2021. Keleigh documented the getaway on Instagram, which showed that the quartet was very active in such a relaxing environment.
