A few months ago, I wrote about virtual twins, a theme that involved me after seeing a preview of Microsoft’s Flight Simulator 2020, which was recently released. The game can have a nostalgic appeal for many readers. To me, it’s my first “real” video game, which my father bought in the mid-1980s while feeling friendly to his son, who was suffering from a severe case of flu.

Flight Simulator replaced my impression of the beige box in our attic and it was a device I thought of with a slight interest because it seemed to do nothing but allow me to write a school document or allow my father to constantly replace the numbers.Strange app called Lotus 1-2-3.Flight Simulator has always hooked me to the generation when this monochrome screen lit up with a certainly mediocre representation of Chicago’s Meigs Field instead of rows of unimportant text, allowing a tween to fly a plane anywhere in the (virtual) world without leaving his home.
The latest edition of Flight Simulator, which returns to the market after more than a decade, has come a long way since my monochrome Cessna, but what is much more attractive from a generation leader’s point of view is how the game integrates data from the genuine world., synthetic intelligence (AI) and great multiplayer capabilities. It is not unfair to recommend that the game necessarily simulates the genuine world, and this was demonstrated when I took a simulated fast flight from Charlotte Douglas International Airport and heard the virtual air traffic controller consultant on an American Airlines flight that literally surpasses the genuine world.
The game uses an artificial intelligence engine, combined with map data, to create a 3-d world and, of course, I was able to fly over some local monuments and my home, and although things like colors and nuanced main points were imperfect, a lakeside closure and its easy-to-detect hydroelectric dam, such as the Charlotte skyline.
It is not a great intellectual leap to wonder what kinds of occasions can also be simulated in this incredibly genuine virtual world. For genuine pilots, the ability to simulate the weather or “verify” a complex flight is an apparent advantage. However, having access to a whole world opens up dozens of possibilities. My 10-year-old son promptly asked about a simulated plane crash ( rather than uneventful), but that this would possibly be the first time that you can check various air traffic scenarios, climatic diversifications, or even simulate cargo or passenger routes for a game’s worth of $ 60.
If your business has nothing to do with aviation and you are not interested in playing or flying, it is valuable to get a copy of Flight Simulator anyway, if only to get a detailed preview of the first global simulator, which I think will do it soon.In a store near you, I can’t believe Microsoft and its partners build a global total, with realistic weather, geography, and visual effects, and restrict it to a game.In several of its press releases, Microsoft has highlighted the backend of its global simulation, which operates on its Azure cloud platform, and it’s no exaggeration to believe that they can simply sell access to this global virtual for advertising applications.
An apparent application can simply be simulating various routing scenarios in the source chain.Thinking about moving a factory abroad? Instead of spreadsheet templates, believe that if you can place it on a map, set up simulated logistic partners, then release storms, political issues, shipping delays, or other admission scenarios in the simulator and discover the effects instead of keeping your facilities grounded.Event planners can simply design hosting events elsewhere and calculate actual transportation prices using actual flight schedules, or a company that launches a new product can simply simulate a global distribution by employing other carriers to locate the most productive mix to meet its launch schedule.

Similarly, it’s not too hard to believe that an entire market around this virtual world, with corporations supplying everything from logistics and shipping simulators they paint around the world, to a global pandemic situation that PPE providers can use to be waiting for security stocks.visiting the “store of the world” and buying the pieces you want to simulate all kinds of situations that are too complex for classic spreadsheets or analysis tools, and see how they propagate in a realistic and visually accurate pattern. It’s a pretty surprising situation to believe.
For a long time I have advocated for taking time to learn and develop a fundamental wisdom of client technologies, and Flight Simulator is the one you deserve to load on your list. While I assume no duty if you’re stuck enjoying a flight through the Grand Canyon when you enter the boss, this may be just the first glimpse of a game-changing capital skill for corporations that take advantage of the ability to simulate large, complex, and scale scenarios of those emerging technologies.
