Listen, the Internet, because Top Gear has some serious news for you. The new super-organization of the ongoing merger between FCA and PSA Group will be called STELLANTIS.
Yes, we think you’ll agree that this is obviously the decision to megacast from McBusted. What an hour it was!
We first heard about the merger between FCA and PSA (not McFly and Busted) in October last year, and the news was officially shown in December. The plan is to create a de facto global business with recently massive PSA in Europe and FCA moving millions of cars a year in North America. For reference, the new organization will become the fourth largest OEM by volume and the third largest in sales.
STELLANTIS has its roots in the Latin verb “stello” which means “to shine with stars”, and the next step is for the organization to unveil a logo that will become the company’s commercial identity. In case you are concerned, none of the existing FCA or PSA brands will change your call or logo.
The brands involved are, of course, Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Citroen, Chrysler, Dodge, DS, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, Ram and Vauxhall. Mr. Ugh.
According to the new STELLANTIS Group, the merger is expected to end in the first quarter of 2021. So what do we think of the new name? Comments below please …
