Mercedes made a “revolutionary” announcement days after Lewis Hamilton officially left the team to sign for Ferrari.

Hamilton signed what Ferrari described as a “several years contract” last February, the agreement that triggers since 2025.

The Seven Times Global Champion will be entered into Charles Leclerc at Scuderia, and will deserve his first drive of a Ferrari F1 car in the old one this month before official testing begins in February.

The Brit has now ended an 11-year stint with the Mercedes team, although his involvement with Mercedes as a manufacturer in general dates back to 1998 when the German company was an engine supplier for McLaren, and thus supported Hamilton with his career after he joined the McLaren and Mercedes-Benz Young Driver Programme.

The 40-year-old – who celebrated the age milestone on Tuesday – has yet to comment on the move since his initial statement upon signing for Ferrari last year.

However, he replaced his Instagram profile image to show his career in a red helmet on his karting days.

Meanwhile, Kimi Antonelli was also used to life at Mercedes to update Hamilton for 2025.

And the German manufacturer have now made a major announcement ahead of the season getting underway.

Hamilton’s move to Ferrari could see several brands previously associated with Mercedes make the view to the Scuderia, with Tommy Hilfiger among the brands linked with the Italian team.

However, Mercedes acted in advance to attach at least one of those deficiencies by the pronouncement of a “revolutionary” agreement with Adidas.

In a press release, Mercedes says Adidas will supply a “full range” of clothing and individual items according to the needs of the team member.

Silver arrows are making plans to present the first product line next month.

The director of the Mercedes team, Toto Wolff, described the announcement as a “clear statement” of intention, added: “Adidas is an emblematic brand, which stores our determination only with complex performance, but also in flavor and sophistication.
