Mercedes-AMG is still nibbling on the “One”, 3 years after its public debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, and two years after the original auction date.

We were there when Lewis Hamilton unveiled a super with the center of his Grand Prix machine, and Mercedes promised to build one like no other.

Powered by a tiny 1.6-liter V6 engine enhanced with turbo and hybridization, Project 1 promises more than 735 kW (or 1000 horsepower) for wealthy consumers who need to delight at the top of motorsport.

The Mercedes-AMG Project One has an engine strongly connected to the F1 global.

Mercedes says the road cousin of its championship-winning machines will achieve two hundred km/h in less than six seconds, making it one of the fastest acceleration cars in the world.

Only 275, 8 of them will be built in Australia.

Local consumers paid a down payment of $500,000 to secure a seat in the queue.

With an official price of 2.27 million euros ($3.74 million), local consumers can raise approximately $2 million in GST, import duties, luxury car taxes and stamp duty.

Changes to the Australian Highway Code that allow left-handed super-automobiles on public roads were discussed when the car was unveiled, those plans were abandoned.

Mercedes had first stated that consumers would get cars in 2019, but the last word is that the first production machines would be built in early 2021.

The manufacturer has just begun the functionality of the prototypes at full power, after focusing on less exciting realities such as exhaust emissions and engine noise requirements.

Mercedes-AMG says the One will be among the fastest in the world.

Even leaving the Grand Prix engine at idling at any given time is a challenge, as Formula One cars are idling at 5000 rpm, an unacceptable figure for road machines.

With these paintings under control, Mercedes-AMG has accelerated the one’s dynamic progression, promising that it will soon appear on the Nurburgring grumpy control circuit for public visual controls.
