Get a new elegance in Mercedes-Benz: the T-Class.
The German car manufacturer said Tuesday that T-Class would debut in 2022 and in its entirety the role of Mercedes-Benz Citan. The Citan is a small advertising van built with the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. It’s necessarily a Renault Kangoo rebadged. However, with the arrival of a new generation of vans, Mercedes plans to emulate the Metris and V-Class strategy. The Metris is intended for the advertising sector, while the V-Class offers personal buyers an intermediate van option.
The new Citan, like the Metris, will continue to serve the advertising industry, while the Class T will serve personal owners, such as the Class V we do not receive in the United States. Although it is a shared van, thanks to the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance, the T-Class will remain a whole-hearted Mercedes-Benz, the logo promised. It is also intended to have an “attractive price for money”.
More main points are not yet available, however, the company has also committed to building an all-electric version. This makes sense as the Kangoo will be mounted on a new platform suitable for electrification. We will be more informed as we technify our deyet in the first part of 2022.
