Mercedes-Benz EQC: everything is available for 2019 … 2020

This year, Mercedes-Benz is launching the first style of its all-electric equalization division, and the company has shown that all the production planned for the EQC SUV has already been sold.

The German manufacturer has been ordering in advance in the compact application style since last year, the first unit will not be released from the meeting line until the last months of 2019. The request was such that the ceo of the company, Dieter Zetsche, had to say this week:

“We are sure that we will not meet the call in 2019 and probably not until 2020. But we are doing everything we can to achieve maximum capacity.”

– Dieter Zetsche

The caveat to this good fortune is that Mercedes-Benz has not revealed the scope of production for the next two years, so it is unimaginable to assess peak demand. From the company’s point of view, it’s really robust, but without exact figures, it’s simply not imaginable to compare it to anything else.

However, the manufacturer has been transparent in its plan to electrify its portfolio. The plan is to introduce 10 electric cars into diversity until 2022, which means that the progression of the EQ department will have to continue at a stable pace.

As Porsche recently said it would double the production of its electric Taycan due to high demand, it is transparent that consumers are interested in high-end electric vehicles.
