The Alltruck Group is the latest member of the Mercedes-Benz Trucks network of authorised workshops. Based between Falkirk and Grangemouth, just off the M9 motorway, the workshop supports HGV operators in Scotland’s central belt. The site was approved as a licensed workshop in July and, after an era of education and staffing, is now open to the public. Its services were expanded and modernized as part of this process.
Managing Director Martin Shaw said: “Joining the Mercedes-Benz network as an authorised dealer has taken us to the next level. We created a total spare parts division from scratch. Before, the maximum of our spare parts was delivered as needed, now we have a giant inventory with a team of seven specialists to manage it.
Shaw added: “We have also hired more staff for administration, reception and assurance, as well as for our technical staff. The result of all this is that, while we used to deal with about two hundred operators, that number now amounts to almost 500. But, more importantly, our commitment to those original consumers remains unwavering. We understand the wishes of those working in the trucking industry and are fully committed to offering the highest service criteria. So it’s very gratifying to report that the feedback we’ve gained from our longtime consumers and those who are new to us has been very positive.
Alltruck’s paint shop sits on 15 acres of land and has 8 bays in full length with two inspection pits and a committed ATF track is planned for next year. The team is made up of 22 technicians, plus 3 apprentices, who paint in shifts 24 hours a day. every day, Monday to Friday and on Saturdays all day. In addition to its paint shop, Alltruck operates a truck rental business with a fleet of more than three hundred vehicles. The company is also one of the leading agents for Fassi cranes in Scotland.
Leonhard Niemann, Head of Network Development at Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK, added: “We are very pleased to be working with Alltruck to offer an even greater service policy to our consumers in Scotland and to expand our representation across the UK. This trusted component is helping us supply end-to-end parts and services to operators in this part of the country, and we look forward to developing together. “
