Mercedes-AMG 2019-2020 sedans and SUV: recovery alert

By Patrick Masterson

Vehicles affected: approximately 5000 Mercedes-AMG C, GT 53 and GT of the 2019-2020 style year and GLC SUV of the 2020 style year

The problem: an edition of the electronic stability program software can cause a vague reaction of the ESP formula while driving, increasing the threat of an accident.

The Fix: Dealers will update the ESP software for free.

What homeowners do: Mercedes-Benz will begin notifying homeowners on August 28. Owners can call the car manufacturer at 800-367-6372, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or make a stop on their online page to find out their vehicle identity number and be more informed.
