Meghann Fahy provides juicy main points about what happened between White Lotus characters Daphne, and Ethan (Will Sharpe) after they combined and got revenge on their fake spouses in the season 2 finale.
In an interview with Variety after the explosive conclusion of the hit HBO show, Fahy confirms that Daphne and Ethan embarked on a “sex” date, this after Ethan told her that he had the idea of his wife, Harper (Aubrey Plaza), meeting her husband, Cameron (Theo James).
Fans will know that Fahy took the news quite well, contemplating what she had just heard. After understanding everything, Daphne invites Ethan to a secluded island and gives him seductive looks, hinting at what might be going on. Although it is never revealed in the series what happened between Daphne and Ethan – the scene is left to acting – Fahy now confirms that Daphne and Ethan teamed up.
“I think something happened. I don’t know precisely what happened, but I know it was something,” he begins telling Variety when asked what happened between them. Do anything to make him feel more empowered in his weird way. I don’t think she took him there to get revenge on Cameron or Harper. . “
She continued, “Someone said something attractive the other day, it was like, do you think part of Daphne’s sadness comes from her betrayal of Harper?I was like, completely. I think she’s been through this with Cameron who knows how many times, but I think she thinks Harper might be her friend, or that she wanted her to be. She has this vulnerable moment in episode 3 where they’re in Noto, and she talks about how she struggles to remain friends and so I think that was part of it. From the experience, but yes, I don’t know if I can say precisely what happened, but I’m definitely thinking about something sexual. “
For what it’s worth, Sharpe also weighed in on what he believes happened to Daphne and Ethan. While he told Variety he’s “open to interpretation,” he also added that he believes “whatever happened, literally, this moment between them is definitely a moment of connection” and “a moment of intimacy. “
The season 2 finale also revealed that fan favorite Tanya McQuoid-Hunt (Jennifer Coolidge) was met with her disappearance in Sicily. The symptoms were that it had to happen, if you knew where to look.
