One of the five orange examples of the McLaren Senna LM will live up to the current 2022 Paris Motor Show. Unveiled on stand 646 in Hall 6, the McLaren Senna LM is one of 20 examples of this sports car ever produced.
The McLaren Senna LM in orange is a very special car and not the typical McLaren FI, as they would have been upgraded to honour Bruce McLaren’s dream of creating a “motorsport road racing experience”. According to McLaren, the FI GTRs challenged other racers at the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the first time, 2 five years ago and McLaren won and brought home five finals. A limited series of five GTR F1 cars built for the road to celebrate those victories and honor Bruce McLaren’s victory. These cars were painted in “Papaya Orange” to pay homage to the Can-Am sports cars of the 60s. These LM cars are meant to be the fastest iteration of the record-breaking brand’s McLaren and their limited number makes them a highly sought-after collector’s car.
McLaren claims the redesigned cam covers and a reconditioned engine featured more power. Aerodynamics have been improved as weight has been reduced, thanks to the use of a GTR-style body.
The McLaren Senna LM uses the same engine as the Senna GTR, but is homologated for the road with a maximum power of 814 hp. More than a custom paint, these cars are now part of the car’s history with some innovations in features. such as the OZ aluminium wheels, quadruple exhaust tips in satin gold, a 24-carat gold heat shield, new polished ports and cylinder heads, as well as an interior that exhumes opulence with titanium nitride pedals, LM branding on the seat and central stroke locks. .
