RaySearch Laboratories AB (publ) announces that the McLaren Proton Therapy Center in Flint, Michigan, has placed an order for the RayStation®* remedy planning system.
STOCKHOLM, Oct. 28, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — McLaren’s Proton Therapy Center has a long history of proton remedies in the Detroit area and eastern Michigan. The center is the National Cancer Institute (NCI), designated a comprehensive cancer center in Detroit and one of 51 such centers in the United States. Since 2018, the center’s capacity has increased and they recently treated their 600th patient.
The acquisition of RayStation will support the proton healing program and include technologies such as deep learning segmentation, symbol distortion, adaptive creation plans, and contingency creation plans, allowing comparison of modalities and contingency plans to help clinicians choose the most appropriate treatment technique. In addition, the branch is expected to become the first in the world to offer proton cure to patients employing Leo Cancer Care’s vertical remedy technology. The partnership between Leo Cancer Care and RaySearch was recently announced in a separate press release.
