McLaren Group headquarters, with liquidity problems, for sale in Surrey

The sick British supercar manufacturer McLaren has put on sale its headquarters built for this purpose in the hope of putting its blood-red color.

Designed by star architect Norman Foster in Woking, Surrey, McLaren’s campus houses the operations of McLaren Formula One and supercars, home to the McLaren Technology Center and McLaren Production Center.

McLaren Group expects the subsequent lease sale to give it a seasoning of $200 million after being forced to ask investors for refills to remain solvent in the Covid-19 pandemic.

With sales of its supercars falling in 2020, McLaren asked real estate firm Colliers to locate a client for the property, valued at more than two hundred million pounds in McLaren’s recent maximum accounts.

McLaren announced in May that it would eliminate 1,200 of its 4,000 jobs, most commonly in the supercar production program.

He forced to raise 291 million pounds of equity in March and then withdraw 150 million pounds from bahrain’s National Bank in June, much less than the 275 million pounds he requested.

He also had his call for an emergency loan of 150 euros opposed to a pandemic rejected through the British in May.

Prior to receiving his loan from Bahrain, McLaren was on track to adapt to Bancrupt until mid-July.

Sales fell in the first part of the year, from 592 million pounds last year to just 143 million pounds by 2020.

“The possible sale and subsequent leasing of our global headquarters and the appointment of banks to advise us on debt restructuring and capital accumulation are components of the overall refinancing strategy we announced this year,” said a spokesman for McLaren.

“Based on the short-term measures we put in place over the summer, these projects will provide a more powerful balance sheet and that McLaren Group has a sustainable platform for long-term expansion and investment.

The McLaren Tech Center has a 700-seat subsidized restaurant, cafeteria, gym, pool, motorcycle room and uses its classic air-conditioned synthetic lake.

On the plus side, his Formula One team came at one point to break his eight-year drought at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza last weekend, with Carlos Sainz completing the moment and Lando Norris fourth surprise winner Pierre Gasly.

Norris is fifth in the Formula One championship, with a podium at the opening of the season in Austria, while Sainz is ninth after his all-star return at Monza.

Sainz will depart for Ferrari at the end of the season, to be replaced in 2021 through Australian star Daniel Ricciardo, while the team will also move from Renault to the mercedes-AMG dominant propulsion system.

But Formula One accounts for about 12% of McLaren’s revenue, and the rest comes from the operation of besathed road cars.

The costs of their cars range from the GT 163000 to the Elva 1. 4 million, but unlike the iconic Ferrari rival, McLaren’s cars are based on a largely similar carbon fiber tank and variants of the same biturbo V8 engine.

Ferrari, on the other hand, has chassis similarities in the newly released portofino and Roma, and the 488 Pista and F8 Tributo also share their fundamental platforms.

Most of its volume cars also use variants of a V8 biturbo, but Ferrari also has the V12 atmospheric force in its high-end GT cars and uses the V8 in a 3-engine equipment on the Stradale SF90.

Unlike Ferrari, which claims to have at least a year of waiting list in its cars, McLaren dealerships are packed with stock in many countries.

The 500,000-meter facility also houses McLaren’s Heritage racing car collection, adding some of those that have helped him to 871 Formula One runs (since the Italian Grand Prix at Monza) since 1966.

It’s the oldest time and maximum moment of a successful Formula One team (with a 20% win rate), just Ferrari.

He has 182 grands prix, 488 podiums, 8 constructors ‘championships and 12 drivers’ championships.

Ayrton Senna won his three titles with McLaren, Alain Prost won 3 of his 4 in woking cars and Mika Hakkinen won one of his championships at McLaren.

Six-time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton made his McLaren debut and won his first championship with him in 2008.

Emerson Fittipaldi won his first championship in 1974, then James Hunt won mcLaren’s name in 1976 in a war with Ferrari’s Niki Lauda that was noted in the 2012 film Rush.

Lauda won 3 world championships, adding one for McLaren in 1984, while Mclaren also won the Indy 500 in 1974 and 1976 and dominated the CanAm sports car championship.

Senna holds McLaren’s winning record with 33, followed by Prost with 30, Hamilton with 21 and Hakkinen with 20.
