Mazda Design America Appoints Jacques Flynn as Senior Director

IRVINE, Calif. , March 12, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) is pleased to announce the promotion of Jacques Flynn to Senior Director of Mazda Design America (MDA). In this role, Flynn will lead all design-like activities for Mazda in North America. Throughout his tenure at Mazda, Flynn has built strong relationships with Mazda Design, as well as its marketing team, that will allow the company to position itself as a leader in automotive design and branding.

Flynn brings a wealth of automotive design experience to his new role. In the past, he served as Director of Brand Style at Mazda Design America from 2022 to 2023 and Senior Exterior Designer from 2006 to 2017. In those roles, he led projects that shaped the long-term design and taste of the Mazda logo and supported MNAO’s marketing initiatives. Notable accomplishments come with art direction of global photo shoots for the CX-90 and CX-70, as well as overseeing their global presentations. On the automotive side, Flynn was a member of the team that designed the fourth-generation MX-5 and led the design of Mazda’s DPI race car, the RT24-P.
